About

This heartful educator blog is inspired by being a teacher, a school leader and a mom who wants to grow and learn about how to center the feelings and inspirations from my heart in the way that I engage with others.

These are some of the things I believe in:

I believe that education is a life long process. Everyone is an educator and a learner at all times. For me, the process of being an educator and a learner is an even bigger part of my life because I am an educator by profession. I am also a mom to two young children so that makes me even more connected to this field; it makes me an educator both at home and at work.

I am passionate about learning the best methods of education that can reach both a child’s heart and mind.

I am also passionate about meditation. Meditating has transformed me and daily continues to leave me in awe of human beings and our potential.

Recently, I have started sharing Heartfulness Relaxation Tools at home with my children. Our six year old loves the Heartfulness Relaxation and has actually started to initiate relaxing his parents. Our youngest is two years old and hates the word relaxation and doesn’t want to hear about it, lol, (the terrible two’s will soon be over : ).

At work, I am teaching a Conscious Living and Meditation course with 12th graders and working with a third grade classroom for 5 minute relaxation sessions twice a week. For both of these I have been using the Heartfulness Institute Curriculum.

All of these experiences have made me even more curious about what it means to be a Heartful Educator. Hence, the wonderings that you will find in this blog.

Oh, I am also a Heartfulness Meditation Trainer. This means that in my free time I make myself available to train others on how to meditate and support them in deepening their practice.
